Men ministry

Welcome to the Men’s Ministries at Reading West SDA Church. Our purpose is to bring men together, fostering a brotherhood that encourages spiritual growth and accountability.

Our mission

Based on the principle found in Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,” we provide a space for men to connect, share their challenges and triumphs, and grow stronger in their faith together.

  • Connect Men: Create opportunities for fellowship and build strong, supportive relationships.

  • Equip Men: Provide resources for spiritual development through Bible study, prayer, and mentorship.

  • Serve Others: Mobilise men to use their God-given talents to serve our church and the wider Reading community in practical, meaningful ways.

What we do

Our activities are designed to be engaging, supportive, and spiritually enriching. They include:

  • Men’s Prayer Breakfasts: A time for food, fellowship, and focused prayer, held on the first Sunday of each month.
  • Bible Study Groups: In-depth studies focused on topics relevant to men’s lives and their spiritual walk.
  • Social Activities: From five-a-side football to walks in the Berkshire countryside, we believe in building bonds through shared experiences.
  • Community Service Projects: Practical outreach initiatives where we can put our faith into action.
